Co-founder and CEO of The William E. Doar, jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. She is responsible for policy development, strategic planning, reporting, fundraising and organizational growth. She has managed three construction projects, negotiated financing for two, and raised over $800,000 in grants and donations since opening. Her experience includes negotiating cash flow credit lines, establishing school credit history and securing a permanent location for the main campus in the initial year of operation. She supervised school growth from one campus of 153 PreK through 5th grade students and 23 staff in 2004 to three campuses and 650 PreK through 11th grade students in 2009. She coordinated school Accreditation in its 4th year and is now working on a $23MM financing package to purchase their building, refinance current capital debt and renovate existing expansion space in building.
