Coming off of a 49-7 win on the road vs. the Rice Owls, the UCF Knights football squad is looking for another C-USA win at home this coming weekend vs. the Marshall Thundering Herd. The Knights will be under the lights starting at 8:00 pm on ESPN, looking to go 5-3 for the third time in five years.

Things look to be on the up and up for the black and gold's offense, as A.J. Guyton was named Bright House Networks athlete of the week for his outstanding performance vs. Rice. Emerging stars like Guyton are finding their niche on the UCF offense, and the offense as a whole is in a state of flow.

Defensively, the Knights are as sharp as ever, and Jarvis Geathers is currently leading the conference in both sacks and TFLs. In fact, the Knights have recorded double digits in TFLs three times in the last four games. How else will the Knights attack the Herd?

Kickoff return coverage and punt return coverage. The Knights are second in the nation and ninth in the nation, respectively. Also, they are 4-3 through seven, which bodes well for the future of the season. The last two times the Knights were 4-3, they won their eighth game to improve to 5-3 and eventually took the C-USA East Division crown and advanced to a bowl game.

Since UCF has been in C-USA with Marshall, they have won all games against the West Virginia team. The Knights are also 11-5 in November after joining the conference.

With such favorable conditions, the Knights look to once again win their eighth game of the season and build a strong winning record for bowl eligibility. The only bump in the road that could hinder the Knights' momentum is a game on November 7 against the Texas Longhorns at Texas. Even though their chance of losing is almost inevitable, they must push the game out of their minds and prepare for an action-packed three-game run against C-USA teams.
