Free audio tours of New York's Central Park given by a vast array of celebrities are now being offered through your cell phone. The Central Park Conservancy has teamed up with Guide by Cell to create this unique audio guide for anyone visiting the Park. It's simple to use -- while you're walking through the park, just look for the little green signs, dial the phone number and corresponding extension, and you will hear a celebrity-guided tour about that specific area of the Park.

Celebrities who have lent their voice to the audio guide have their own special connection to New York. Celebrities participating include Jerry Seinfeld, Whoopi Goldberg, Glenn Close, Kelly Ripa, Alec Baldwin, Yoko Ono, Jimmy Fallon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Kevin Bacon and Anne Hathaway.

For example, Yoko Ono describes Strawberry Fields, the section of the park located at 72nd street and Central Park West which was dedicated to her husband, John Lennon, and Kevin Bacon describes why his favorite spot in the Park is the Reservoir.

This cell phone technology is a welcome replacement from self-guided tours using awkward headphones or audio wands. The audio guide enables all visitors to use their cell phone to hear celebrities describe park highlights, landmarks, historical data, and fun facts about Central Park.
