Madonna is a singer, actress, and fashion icon. She has had numerous hit songs over the course of several decades. Movies in which she has appeared include Evita and Desperately Seeking Susan. Madonna has been married twice, to actor Sean Penn and to director Guy Ritchie. Madonna has been able to stay on top of the latest trends by constantly reinventing herself.
Madonna even performed duets with two of today's hottest singers, former sweethearts Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Now, Madonna is poised to hit the fashion world in a new way. She is teaming up with Iconix Brand Group, Inc. to launch a new line of clothing called 'Material Girl."
The 'Material Girl' collection will be a juniors line which includes apparel, handbags, jewelry, and shoes. It will be a collaborative effort with daughter Lourdes. 'Material Girl' will be the first release from MG Icon--Madonna's brand. It will arrive at Macy's in August 2010; and it will also be available at Macys.com. Beauty and fragrance products will be added to the collection in 2011.
