SXSW kicks off this weekend in Austin. The annual festival brings together the best in indie rock, indie film and geek chic. These days, the festival also brings some serious star wattage to Texas.
On Saturday, the festival officially opens with the premiere of I Love You Man. The movie’s stars, including Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones, will hold a panel discussing the film at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The event is sold out but you may be able to catch one of the stars outside the venue. Also on Saturday, actor Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development) will hold an acting workshop at the Austin Convention Center.
On Friday, March 13th, Heather Graham, Jennifer Coolidge, Amber Heard, Matthew Settle and Joey Lauren Adams will be walking the red carpet for the premiere of The Exterminators at the Paramount.
On Tuesday, March 17th, Seth Rogen, Anna Faris and Michael Pena will participate in the Observe and Report: A Case Study - A Man and His Gun panel at the Convention Center.
On Friday, March 20th, you can get up and close and personal with Andy Kindler, Janeane Garofalo and Margaret Cho when they perform at Esther's Follies and The Velveeta Room on 6th Street in Austin.
You can also catch, Juliette (Lewis) and the Licks will playing at Emo's or Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters at Smokin' Music, located at 504 Trinity St.

I Saw Justin Kirk of 'Weeds' and 'Angels in America' at the Four Boxes premiere Sunday night at the Alamo Lamar, I also hear he'll be at the Friday 3/16 showing at 7pm, (he's in the movie)!
