Giorgio Ristorante to host second beer pairing dinner this Thursday

For those who missed Giorgio Ristorante and Whole Foods Market’s first beer pairing dinner in October, their second beer pairing dinner is taking place inside the Shoppes at Mandalay Place this Thurs., Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. Part of a three-month beer pairing series, this week’s dinner will feature three tasty ales from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. paired with Italian cuisine courtesy of Giorgio Ristorante Executive Chef Nico Chessa.

The menu is as follows:

First Course
Gorgonzola and ricotta ravioli sautéed with butternut squash and brown butter
served with Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Second Course
Pork loin scaloppine with marsala sauce, mashed potatoes and sautéed tasty greens
served with Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale

Dessert
Nutella-chocolate crepe
served with Sierra Nevada Porter

Dinner is priced at $39 per person plus tax and gratuity, and each person will receive a Whole Foods Market gift card at the end of the meal. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged. As part of Piero Selvaggio’s famed Valentino Restaurant Group, Giorgio Ristorante, located inside the Shoppes at Mandalay Place, offers some of Las Vegas’ finest contemporary Italian cuisine in an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant has been frequented by Luxor headliner Criss Angel, who used to bring his main squeeze, “Peepshow” star Holly Madison, along with him to enjoy Giorgio’s menu of classical Southern Italian cuisine. Tasty lunch and dinner selections include an array of antipastos, salads, sandwiches, pizza and pasta dishes, all served in generous portions at an affordable price. For a unique dining experience, Chef Chessa can create a personalized four-or-five course tasting menu. The restaurant also offers an impressive award-winning wine selection, including 200 wines by the bottle and 20 by the glass, from renowned wineries in Italy, France and California. Giorgio Ristorante is open for lunch Mon.-Fri. from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sat.-Sun. from noon to 4 p.m. Dinner is served Mon.-Fri. from 5:30 p.m. to close and Sat.-Sun. from 4 p.m. to close.
