According to TMZ Lindsay Lohan and her mom Dina Lohan hired Chicago attorney Stuart V. Goldberg as a replacement for Shawn Chapman Holley.
Now Stuart V Goldberg is off the case. There are several different versions of why the deal fell through. TMZ reports that Goldberg dropped the case after Lindsay Lohan's business manager let him know that there was no way LiLo could afford him. PopEater says that Goldberg reviewed the case and realized that there was no way an appeal would change anything.
Lindsay Lohan says that she turned Goldberg down because she didn't like his style. TMZ gives the example of his vanity license plates which say "Snake Charmer".
Lohan also said she turned down a number of attorneys because they were "publicity hungry".
TMZ says Lindsay is chomping at the bit to hire Robert Shapiro of OJ Simpson fame.
For now Lindsay's official lawyer remains Shawn Chapman Holley because the judge won't accept a change before there is a replacement.
PopEater reports that Lindsay Lohan and Shawn Chapman Holley parted ways because LiLo's friends are telling her that she doesn't deserve jail time and she doesn't want to listen to Holley tell her that there's no way to avoid it.
