A petition to reinstate Alex Lambert to "American Idol" has been making the online rounds and has collected almost 10,000 signatures.
The petition states that Alex Lambert was better than the twelve finalists who were not voted off the show and deserves another chance.
Others voted off "American Idol" are Lilly Scott, Kate Epperly, and Todrick Hall.
Alex Lambert is no relation to Adam Lambert, one of last year's contestants who has managed to create some waves of his own.
The way that "American Idol" works is that each week contestants sing and then one or more contestants are voted off the show.
It seems unlikely that a petition to could bring Alex Lambert back, but it's worth a shot to thousands of his fans.

alex lambert can sing but not a great singer. there is no point petitioning for his come back, sooner or later he will voted off anyway. we, adam lambert fans could have had petitioned for adam winning the AI 8 but we know our adam will go a long way and there was no need making noises.
Alex should be reinstated. lilly should be reinstated and Adam lambert should have won American Idol!
I guess Alex's fans became to complacent and thought Alex would be safe. But I really do think he would shine on Idol if he could at least remain in the top 6.
This is making me laugh. He was a nice kid and he sang okay. Other good singers have been voted off, that's the game. This is so ridiculous. You sing until you don't get enough votes. Then you go home.
This should have been done for Chris Daughtry, not Alex Lambert.

Most disappointing in Alex Lambert case is that everybody can figure out that American Idol is not a show where the number of votes count but the productions decision. So, dear American Idol producers be onset and admit that you are making huge audience based on false understanding that the viewers votes are actually taking into account.

What's the fuss about Alex not making it? I like him and would like to see him get better on the show. But why didn't his fans vote??? I can't vote because I'm outside of US. But to me, it's a pity Todrick is out. He has the natural talent and is the only one interesting aside from Siobhan. AI9 will go down in history as the most boring season. I heard Alex's iTunes has the highest sales among this season's contestant ..
Anyways, the number of ratings on his songs on iTunes of this date ;
'Wonderful World' (576), 'Everybody Knows' (759), 'Trouble' (876)
while the rest of contestants rating numbers are way below .. the highest I've seen is about 400 by another contestant.
'Everybody Knows' went straight up to over 500 when it came out in a day while the other contestants (Lee) only just went over 200..

People voted for him and if he got voted off means he didn't have enough people/fans behind him. I don't think it will make any difference if they bring him back. He won't go far. Alex is still young. He can always come back and audition again next year. Maybe next year he'll do better. So chill out.
If you are into Adam's songs then you would consider him great. There are those who are not into THAT kind of music. Besides, Adam already had stage experience since he was 10 whereas this is the first time Alex faced more than 50 people watching him sing. He would have learned from the experience. We're just saying he deserves to be in the Top 12. AI voting is scrwd.
Get over the fact that Adam Lambert lost people. I agree that he was the most exciting performer AI ever had. That being said. He didn't NEED to win AI to get a shot at success. Quit being so petty. I like the wild card rounds they did in season 2 (gave us Clay Aiken) and last year (Matt Giraud). That gives the judges, who spent a week in Hollywood with these people, a chance to bring then back.

FYI: This story about Alex showed up in Adam`s Google Search because Adam`s name is mentionned in the article. Maybe that explains to some why we have this alert showing up in our Google alerts.
Might I add that I`m not sure our Adam would find it very sexy to bash poor Alex like I some posts I see. Yes, I say ``our`` Adam cos I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan. To me, they found the only worthy Idol, game`s over for Idol now. For me anyways.
