The White House blog pointed out Glenn Beck's "disregard for the facts."
The official White House blog post for Wednesday said Fox News shows a blatant "disregard for the facts," listing a litany of Glenn Beck rethoric that does not match up with reality.
The post was written by staffer Jesse Lee, so it wouldn't be accurate to say President Barack Obama called Beck a liar, though many people would love it if he did.
Entitled "Reality Check: Trying to Turn a Point of Pride into a Moment of Shame," the blog post starts with Beck's attempt to smear the Obama administration's efforts to bring the Olympics back to the United States by saying Vancouver lost $1 billion on the Olympics, when in fact the Vanouver Olympics haven't even happened yet. They're scheculed for 2010.

AGREED, do you honestly believe that everything coming out of the White House is the truth? I would believe Beck over everyone in that place. So it seems that the FACTS are still up in the air.
I keep going to blog after blog after blog that calls Glenn Beck a liar but I never seem to find anyone posting examples of his lies. I would be more than willing to listen to opposing points of view if they would back them up. Seriously I don't understand how an argument to policies can be "Liar"

Beatrice...Glenn got the information that Gaspard worked for ACORN from Wade Rathke who is now saying he was confused and had a senior moment and that it was a mistake that he said Gaspard worked for ACORN. So who is lying? Could it be Rathke? Beck was only using Rathke's words. Look up Politico/Ben Smith...Rathke recants.
I followed the links that many people provided here to back up Glenn's claims (e.g., Vancouver losing money on the Olympics) and all are true and valid. So, Liz, goodbye. I won't be following your blog any longer. You're a waste of time.
You are right, Glenn mispoke. What Glenn should have said was that Calgary lost over one billion on the olympics and Vancouver is in the hole for more than $4 billion...and the olympics haven't even happened yet.

Simple point of order about what constitutes a "lie".
If the founder of an organization told you that I worked for him. Told you in writing and in public that I worked for the organization and then you told friends, relatives and others that I worked for said organization would you be a liar?
If the founder of said organization AFTER you told all of your friends and relatives about me working for the organization then made some claim to a "senior moment" or possibly a mistaken identity" and you then tell your friends and relatives that the source for your information has recanted his statement - should we continue to call you a "liar"?
Lastly, if the person you told friends and relatives worked for this organizatio turn out to have not worked for said organizaion but works for a "sister" organization that works hand/glove with the original organization then you would you still be a liar?

Beck is not a liar; However, He is an alcoholic and a drug addict who has no control over his emotions once he is under the influence. No wonder his wife left him and both his mother and brother committed suicide. Beck will eventually die of an overdose or commit suicide.

Glenn Beck is the first to admit when he says something that is not accurate. He sincerely tries to speak the truth and constantly asks people to tell him if he is wrong about anything. This is all you can ask of anyone- to attempt to speak the truth at all times. Liz just because you do not like what he is saying- doesn't mean he is lying. Obama lies all the time and he never apologizes for lying to the American people. Please start being a real journalist- report on the corruption in DC (on both sides of the aisle)
