"Cheers" fans, listen up. Cliff Clavin wants to be a Senator. It's true. John Ratzenberger is considering a run for the U.S. Senate in 2012 in Connecticut, according to a report in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Ratzenberger started his potential campaign by casting his lot with conservative Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty at a $5,000-a-plate dinner that launched the new Freedom First PAC on Wednesday night. Ratzenberger said he would support Pawlenty if he runs for president:
Right now, I'd endorse him for president."
Pawlenty did not comment on Ratzenberger's potential Senate campaign, but you have to wonder if he would want to be associated with a man who is seen by the public as a clueless, know-it-all postal worker. Then again, looking clueless on TV didn't seem to hurt Sarah Palin's conservative support base, so who knows?

Seeing as how Cliff fro years has traveled the great US and met thousands of good hardworking Americans in the heartland, watched and joined them in their manufacturing jobs, he would be a great candidate. He knows the people. He knows what the go through every day. He cherishes those Americans he met. He does not see them as an ATM to fund more and more uneducated non-productive citizens.
