The latest Jennifer Lopez movie “The Back-up Plan” will profile a special-needs dog. The character is named Nuts. He is a terrier played by three dogs - Nip, Tuck and Nubbins.
Nuts uses a special walker to get around in the movie. His use of this equipment brought back past memories to Lopez. Her dachshund ruptured a disc in her spine, which required surgery. For a while, this leading lady thought her beloved pet would need a special walker. Thankfully, she was able to fully recover after her procedure.
Outside of the character Nuts, the best aspect of “The Back-up Plan” is the focus on pet adoptions and environmentally conscious pet care. Although these subjects are mixed in with a lot of comedy, they still are a highlight in this movie, which will make people think.
“The Back-Up Plan” is due in theaters on April 23, 2010. Find out more about it by visiting the official movie site at www.theback-upplan.com. This site is very interactive and even includes games along with a linked to the Humane Society. Share
