Bob Barker, who was the most famous for hosting the Price Is Right, has donated $2.5 million dollars to PETA to help with the purchase of a new building in Los Angeles.The building will then be used for for PETA's youth outreach, media, marketing and campaign departments.
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday (March 10th) he said the following: "I am delighted to be honored in this way, particularly for my admiration and respect for PETA," he said. "I think PETA is one of the most effective and most productive of all animal welfare or rights groups in the world."
Bob also said at there was still $4 million needed to help renovate the new building that was just purchased. He said that if they could come up with $2 million then he would donate the other half of the money.
PETA has a spay and neuter campaign that Bob has always been a part of. It must be nice for him to be able help them in this way.
