Jim Carrey can officially add the role of grandfather to his repertoire.

The eccentric, Canadian-American comedic actor's daughter, Jane, and husband Blood Money frontman, Alex Santana, welcomed baby boy Jackson Riley Santana to the world on Friday in Los Angeles according to a report from People.com.

Carrey, 48, tweeted about the birth moments after it happened and said via @JimCarrey: Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of Calfornia dynomite looks like! http://twitpic.com/15liwi 

Together with long-time partner Jenny McCarthy, Carrey is a prominent spokesman for her Generation Rescue Foundation, and often speaks out against vaccinations as a cause of autism and related disorders.
