That earth-shattering squeal you heard all over the world this morning was the sound of millions of hearts breaking. The rep for actor Jensen Ackles told E! News that Ackles is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris. Ackles has starred on TV's Supernatural for almost 5 years, and was previously on Days of Our Lives, Smallville, and Dark Angel.
Ackles costars on Supernatural with Jared Padalecki (formerly of Gilmore Girls). Fans of Ackles and Padalecki have speculated for years over their relationships, wondering which heartthrob would be the first to wed. The two, nicknamed "Jackles" by fans, have an off-screen best friendship that may take a hit now that Ackles is committing to Harris. Ackles and Padalecki have said in interviews that due to long hours filming the show and being away from girlfriends, they have become close friends.
Harris is an actor in her own right, having starred on One Tree Hill and One Life to Live. She is a trained gymnast and model.

Okay not all fans feel one of the guys getting hitched will affect their friendship. Also, they are known as 'Padackles' (if you want the slash bit) not Jackles...never existed outside Ted (everyone is closeted) Casablanca. Myself, I'm happy for them and it didn't break my heart at all.
