Fans lined up across the country to get into the midnight premiere of "New Moon" on Thursday night, but the film's big love-triangle stars -- Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) -- all were at a low-key VIP screening in New York.
About 100 Twi-hards stood out in the drizzling rain to catch a glimpse of Edward, Bella and Jacob, along with cast members Ashley Green (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmet Cullen), Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), Elizabeth Reiser (Esme Cullen).
Fans also caught sight of a host of other celebrities, including "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen, "Ugly Betty" star Eric Mabius, models Agyness Deyn and Jessica Stam, and of course hometown shock jock Howard Stern.
With the movie's steamy love triangle all in one place, Entertainment Weekly couldn't resist asking Taylor Lautner if werewolves are sexier than vampires. He stayed with Team Jacob:
That’s a hard question. They’re sexier in different ways. But, I mean, I’ll stay true to the pack. I’ll go werewolf.”
