The Wednesday night announcement of Pleasure P's nomination for best male R&B performance was overshadowed by rumors that he has a history of child molestation and was fired from his former band, Pretty Ricky, for that reason. The singer, born Marcus Cooper, is being targeted on Twitter by a woman who claims to be his attorney's daughter.
Laura Goldstein (@AGoldsteinGirl) posted several court documents that indicated someone named Marcus Cooper had been restrained from unsupervised visits with a 3-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl after inappropriately touching them. She said the singer had hired her father to get the records "sealed" and to file an injunction against band members to keep them quiet about it. She claims the singer never paid her father and started threatening her family.
She says she does not want money, but wants the singer to leave her family alone and wants the public to know that he has a record for child molestation.

A source that claims to be close to the family told gossip site Necole Bitchie:
When he was 16 going on 17, he was left alone with his niece and nephew with whom he touched and penetrated with fingers on several occasions. His aunt noticed his niece complaining of her genital area hurting, when asked what happened she replied “Uncle Marcus keeps touching me and he hurt me”. Of course Marcus (Pleasure P) denied the allegations but the doctor found signs that she had vaginal damage and tearing. Charges were then pursued by the State of Florida.
The incident happened in 2004 going into 2005. He served like 8 months rehab and community service by time the trial came up. Marcus accepted a plea with the State of Florida and Joseph Smith, who is the caregiver of the niece and nephew which Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper molested. (sic) These are not the only papers filed against him. These are the first of 3. As part of the plea agreement Marcus plead guilty and paid an “undisclosed amount” to remain free and have the records “sealed” and on the family level for them to remain quiet and not to speak publicly about it. The “sealed document” means nothing other than “we won’t tell anyone it’s here...but if they find it they can have it” basically.

The R&B site SingersRoom posted a statement from the band which reportedly came from the members-only Pretty Ricky web site. It states unequivocally that Pleasure P was fired:
Unfortunately due to Pleasure P's lawyer filing an injunction against us from speaking, we are not at liberty to speak about the case. However we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group, he did not leave on his own free will."
Pleasure P has not yet commented publicly on any of it.

the way i see it is whenever you do something it comes to the light i dont know why he thought he could get away with it (if he did do it). the group is weak and Im glad he went solo he sell they dont thats why they dont get nominated for nothing.
