John McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, posted a NSFW* photo of herself on her Twitter page Wednesday night, then freaked out when she got some negative feedback and said she was going to delete her account. Here's how her tweets progressed:

Then the feedback started, as one might expect after showing one's pushed-up breasts to the world. But Meghan claimed it was an everyday sweatpants-and-tank-top kind of thing and didn't see what the fuss was about. So she tweeted:
so I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing but apparently anything other than a pantsuit I am a slut, this is why I have been considering deleting my twitter account, what once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment
I am going to take some more time to think about it but seriously I was just trying to be funny with the book and that I'm a dork staying in
when I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a "slut", I can't even tell you how hurt I am
It was all too much for Meghan.

I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpic, I have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended.
Blah, blah, blah. It just smells like a big fat publicity stunt when you consider that Meghan started blogging for Daily Beast bright and early Thursday morning. And once she had gotten the attention of all those turned-on tweeps, she posted her final tweet of the night:

Thats a typical type of photograph any american girl that age would take. Its not even news worthy. Its the poor conservatives of America that feel somwhat offended by this, which again shows how idiotic this country can be.
Uh, Jason, it's not the conservatives who are out there calling her a "slut" for posting a photograph, nor is it the conservatives who are blaring the non-story across the airwaves. She wants to post a picture of herself - we don't care. It's the liberals in the media who are trumpeting this as some scandal. If they were after a real scandal, they need look no further than Rangel, Dodd, Geithner, etc., but since those would actually hurt Democrats, it makes more sense to attack people who have an (R) after their name.
