Houston cardiologist Conrad Murray, may be charged with manslaughter if police conclude he gave Michael Jackson the powerful anasthetic Diprivan (Propofol) before he died on June 25, according to a new report on TMZ. The site reports:
Law enforcement sources tell us if they conclude the doctor administered the drug it may well lead to manslaughter charges.
Investigators are also suspicious of the delay in calling 911 — the Dr. says he waited 20-30 minutes because he didn't know Jackson's address that would lead paramedics to the house. Jackson lived on one of the most famous streets in the world — one house above Sunset Blvd.
Dr. Murray's criminal defense lawyer, Edward Chernoff, who expressly denied that Dr. Murray ever gave Michael OxyContin or Demerol, did not issue a similar denial about Diprivan. Instead he told TMZ:
"I have no statement on whether the doctor prescribed or administered Propofol."
Dr. Murray is not licensed to prescribe or administer controlled substances such as Propfol in the state of California, according to Fox News.

what about second degree murder.
If the administeration of the drug may well lead to manslaughter charges,Conrad Murray is readily to be on court.
I'm in the Medical Field. The 30 minute delay in calling 911 is outrageous. Even a layperson would know to call immediately when someone isn't breathing. I will always wonder if the paramedics could have saved him if he called right away. That alone is so incredibly suspect to me. Then the Diprivan. Second outrage.
manslaughter is mot good enough
my seven year old granddaughter would have gotten help there faster...perpetrating a fraud, malpractice, manslaughter, reckless manslaughter...extreme disregard for life...im a registered nurse, i have been crying, angry, shocked at this physician's actions...unforgiveable.
This is, of course, THINK thinking for those of you incapable of thinking. The entire matter underscores what is wrong with celebrity and the drug use. Clearly, Dr. Murray's role in this entire matter is not clear (in terms of what happened); but, at bottom, it is clear that Michael Jackson was a drug addict. There is, therefore, a litany of doctors who gave him what amounts to illegal drugs. Should these people be investiaged as well? And do you mean to tell me that the folks at AEG did not know (even hear a whisper) that Jackson was addicted to drugs? How did Jackson pass a physical in order to have the London tour insured? Now, Dr. Murray will become the fall guy for Jackson's addiction.
