As previously reported, the Westboro Baptist Church protested outside the American Idol concert last Sunday in San Jose.
Adam Lambert spoke to E Online about the incident:
Oh, that was fun. It was six people, and I don't give a s--t. The amount of support, even in Utah of all places, everywhere else has been overwhelming. There will always be people who have their opinions. I don't care.
Lambert, whose confidence was evident in his star-making performances on Idol, also spoke about his fans' penchant for throwing their undergarments on stage. He said, "That was my favorite moment on tour so far. It cracked me up... I picked up the bra and flung it back out in the audience."
It's clear that Lambert is working hard at his album and touring with the Idols, and hoping that all his hard work will pay off.

We all need to take the protests as one more sign that Adam is going to be a super, superstar. The protesters come when they see the rest of us being drawn to him. We will always outnumber them at least a million to one and they will see how this young man is going to be blessed and be a blessing.
The Westboro wackos are just looking to hitch their horse to the American Idol train and claim another 15 minutes of fame... I like Adam's positive response. I saw AI concert in LA. 90% were cheering for him on their feet all throughout his performance. And before the show, when Adam's image flashed on screen, the whole place screamed. It was so overpowering! I wonder if Adam's 15 month old fan, little "PAISLEY" will get to kiss Adam in person, during AI concert in her hometown. That would be a great video. Kindly post if that happens. THANKS.
Those protestors should look at the world around them. There are much larger issues than protesting against and amazing singer just because he likes boys. Who gives a bleep! I support Adam.

Absolutely, only uneducated morons would find time to go to a concert and protest something this absurd. Don't they realize that they are wasting their time? Apparently not. With global warming, world hunger, an economic recession, rapists and murders out there, this is what they think is worthy of a protest? Get a life! Adam is entertaining, sweet, humble, intelligent, good looking, talented, etc. They should be kissing his feet. The man is going to be a legend. We love you Adam and even more so everyday because you never fail to show us your confidence and maturity. You're so beautiful, inside and out. Oh, and one more thing, Adam fans are SO cool, they rock!
Those protesters can be of use to the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. We better identify who they are because we will endorse them to the Defense Department so that they will be deployed as soon as possible in those war-torn areas.

I was raised Devout Catholic and had to go to Mass everyday. I don't care that Adam or anyone else is gay. People protesting others for being gay is ridiculous to me. I agree with another blogger who pointed out all of these other things to worry about in life. The recession - so many people haven't a job or can't put food on the table. Instead of protesting a performer who is the genuine article; go out and volunteer at a homeless shelter or help clean kennels at the Animal Humane Society. Learn some tolerance and maybe that will open your cynical view on life. Adam is fantastic! He is really talented and I hope he goes back to Broadway some day. I can see him on the big screen acting. Heck I can hear him on the radio doing Ryan Seacrest type jobs. He is extremely versitile. He should model for Calvin Klein and more. Don't hate! By the way the vest Adam wore in Salt Lake City was crazy! Loved it!

That Westboro Church group is filled with lunatics. They've held signs saying God Hates America, and God is America's terror. They say that Obama is the anti-christ. It is the meeting ground of the severely mentally disturbed. Adam is a better person than I am. I have no patience for organizations like that filled with every wackjob that crawled out from under a rock.

These people have way too much time on their hands. As it's been said, they should do something useful with their time. I was always under the impression that having a religion was about being good people and serving God, not oppressing others and belittling them for the life they live...right?
