HARLOW WINTER KATE MADDEN

With one of the most popular celebrity baby names of the year, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's little girl was chosen through a variety of inspirations. Joel explained, "I really like Jean Harlow the actress, and [Nicole] likes Shalom Harlow the model. Harlow's cool because it feels like a classic name. Winter [is] so serene and quiet and that's how [our daughter] is."

MAX LIRON BRATMAN

With a classic first and regal middle name, the son of singer Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman has a name that has a special meaning to both parents. While Max was rumored to be their name of choice, Liron is Hebrew for "my song" or "my joy" and honors Jordan's Jewish background.

MAXIMILIAN DAVID AND EMME MARIBEL MUÑEZ

Though the choices for their twins' first names were never explained, the middles names of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's twins honor family members of the couple. David is Jennifer's father, while Maribel was the name of Marc's sister, who passed away after battling a brain tumor.

HONOR MARIE WARREN

A friend of the actress suggested the unique name given to the daughter of Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. Jessica shared, "One of my friends said, 'If I ever had a girl – but I'm not having any more kids – I would name her Honor.' I said, 'That's a great name for a boy or a girl.'" Jessica – whose middle name is Marie, too – explained that she and Cash wanted their daughter's name to be different than the norm.

STELLA DOREEN MCDERMOTT

Finding the perfect name for their little girl was a challenge for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, "I used to be obsessed with the book Great Expectations," said Tori. "Estella was the main character. It wasn't fitting, though. And then one day, Dean was like, 'What about Stella?' I said, 'That's it!'" Doreen was Dean's late mother's name.

MADDIE BRIANN ALDRIDGE

Jamie Lynn Spears and fiancé Casey Aldridge each picked part of their daughter's name. "Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it." Briann is in honor of Casey's cousin and close friend, Brian, who was killed in a car accident, as well as Jamie Lynn's older brother Bryan.

SUNDAY ROSE KIDMAN-URBAN

Nicole Kidman's father first suggested the name Sunday in honor of Australian patron of the arts Sunday Reed. She and husband Keith Urban "loved" the name, but for more than that reason: "That's our favorite day," said Nicole "If you're lonely, Sunday is a very lonely day, and if you're happy and you've got your family around you, then Sunday is a beautiful day."

LEVI ALVES McCONAUGHEY

The son of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, this love child got his name from his dad. "Our son was born at 6:22 p.m., and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light,'" Matthew shared. Levi is another name for Matthew in the Bible, and Alves was chosen to honor Camila's family.

KNOX LÉON AND VIVIENNE MARCHELINE JOLIE-PITT

Upon the birth of their twins, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie explained how they went about with the naming their babies.
