I was never a big fan of Geroge Clooney's Ocean's 11 movies. Eleven is too many characters, not to mention twelve or God forbid thirteen. I could never keep track of who was doing what. Thankfully, Clooney and his friends turned their powers for good instead of evil by helping to coordinate the Hope for Haiti concert, and send help across the ocean.
It's hard to say how many celebrities were involved in last night's concert, you could round up the usual suspects like Bruce and Bono and others. There were certainly more than eleven stars on hand, but it was easy to keep track of what they were doing.
I've become very cynical of our celebrity culture. Two words --Jersey Shore. This column exists to focus on events where celebrities break the law, or at least break their contracts. I got a lot of mileage out of Tiger and mistresses 1-13.
I do like writing good things about people on occasion. I hope this event truly does help the good people of Haiti. I certainly am no computer hacker so you all know how to find the links to the Red Cross and the Hope for Haiti event on your own.
I have heard rumors that Tiger has donated money anonymously. I hope that is true....
Still, I do like a good caper. I would like to hear about a casino getting taken of a billion dollars and then hearing about somehow the money ending up in a Haitian orphanage...
Godspeed George and the rest of the gang!

To be commended for all the help; Haiti certainly needs it. But does anyone dare put his/her rep on the line for helping Gaza? It's a real shame.
