These days, celebrities are being thrown into the pokey right and left. Rather than walk the straight and narrow, big name stars are treating the criminal justice process like a hip new fashion accessory.

On October 21, 2009 in New York Supreme Court, rapper Lil Wayne changed his plea to guilty on attempted criminal possession of an unlicensed weapon. The 27-year old is facing felony drug possession and additional weapons charges in Arizona.

On that same October 21st, federal agents took "Smallville" and "ER" regular Sam Jones, III into custody for alleged participation in a conspiracy to illegally purchase and distribute more than 10,000 pills of oxycodone. Jones was arrested at his Canoga Park, CA home last Wednesday morning.

Earlier this morning, Japanese pop star Noriko Sakai, who appeared in anti-drug campaigns during the 1990s, plead guilty to charges of possession and consumption of illegal drugs in a Tokyo district court. More than 6,600 fans lined up for one of 20 coveted seats inside the courtroom. Prosecutors asked for a minimum sentence of 18 months behind bars.

Last year’s winner of reality show “Big Brother” was arrested on October 17th for alleged possession and intent to distribute oxycodone. Adam Jasinski of Delray Beach, FL allegedly told police officers he had purchased the drug with his half-million dollar prize money.
