Already a veteran of producing countless commercials and TV episodes,Leanna Bonamici has just completed shooting her first feature film project, "Shakespeare"s Cat" at her Casablanca Studios www.casablancastudios.com, located at 321 Pierson Blvd, Desert Hot Springs.The film is now in post production
The film is a comedy/drama based on a true story concerning a very, wealthy woman, who passes away, and leaves all of her money to her cats. Well, the towns folks don't like this and decide if they can get rid of the cats, they can get their hands on the inheritance. That's the premise!
As if the film didn't keep her busy enough, Leanna has made a deal with Time WarnerCable, www.timewarnercable.com, to produce a series for their Time Warner on demand channel and DCTV. Titled "Shorts Showcase", it will feature short films submitted from all over the world. You can check it out at www.shortsshowcase.com. and find out about submitting your film. The viewing audience is potentially over 3 million people.
A panel of judges will decide which films are chosen and there will be a quarterly winner's showcase, where viewers can vote on line and cash prizes wil be awarded. The shows will run for 90 minutes and will be themed to a particular idea like Valentines Day in February will have romantic films. These films will be eligible for Emmy consideration.
