Can any of us forget Oprah’s love-fest in Telluride last month when she interviewed Tom Cruise on the 25th anniversary of his break-out role in Risky Business?
Well, one Aurora mom, Jenny Ford, isn’t soon to forget. This is because Tom’s appearance on Oprah just very well may have been Ford’s break-out role as well.
When Oprah walked into Tom’s Telluride digs, she commented on Suri’s ladybug shoes, which Tom quipped by saying they were, “Suri’s favorite ladybug shoes.”
The shoes in discussion are made by a local company owned by Ford called,
Monkey-Toes.
Ford says she wasn’t even watching the show that day but was suddenly floored when her step-mom called her to tell her that the shoes were on – gasp! – Oprah.
Ford told CE that she gifted Suri the Little Ladies Mary Janes (pictured) back in December when she found out the TomKat clan would be spending the holidays in Telluride.
“We had no knowledge of them receiving them let alone that they became Suri’s favorite ladybug shoes,” says Ford.
Since the show, life has been sweet for this local mom of two, who is now a pseudo-celebrity herself. Ford says media are actually calling her and Monkey-Toes have even been featured in Life and Style Weekly magazine as part of Suri’s $350,000 wardrobe.

Great story, CE! It really combines your love of celebs and baby/kid products. Does this mean we're getting a pair for baby CE?
see how influential suri cruise is! those shoes are included in the $350,000 ward robe? Those were gifts no money value.
Great story - Skimbaco is the online shop that put together that great Christmas gift basket for Tom and Katie!
Great news for the designer but unfortunate that the store who coordinated the gift basket for the Cruise Holmes family, and included the designer's shoes, was not mentioned. Great store, It was www.skimbaco.com
It's great to see that big celebs who can afford anything and everything still can show some support for local businesses!! Finally, a plus for TC in the wake of A LOT of minuses!!
