Will Elway help win points for the GOP?
Interesting, interesting, interesting. The Denver Post is reporting that John Elway will be attending John McCain's rally in Denver on Friday.
McCain, desperate to pull out all the stops to get swing state Colorado to favor the GOP, has enlisted the help of Colorado's leading and most influential celebrity. But will it work?
Shrewd move by John M. But will John E. score some points for the ole' gipper? Well, my friends, that remains to be seen.

What a loser Elway is .
Albert, I believe that Elway is a winner when it mattered most.
i agree with brenda
Now tell me. Is there "prepping and grooming" for Mr. Elway going on here? Denver re-districted Cherry Hills for Elway, to include his wonderful Cherry Hills neighborhood, and called it District #7.
His Stanford Mafia buddies are all married with Hollywood trophy wives now, so therefore, Mr. Elway must follow suit and sure enough....Mr. Elway brings his new "Janet" to a McCain fund raiser. We get the message loud & clear on what the Colorado political "stage" will be for the future. And the "grooming of the political John Elway" begins in earnest.
It is simply marvelous how We, the People...the core underlying beginning of our founding document, has become-We, the Rich People versus We, the Poor People. Watch Colorado for the next 10 years folks--for the birth of Elway, the Politician along with a second generational Elway family by the new Janet. BTW, nicer rack now on the new wife than in that infomercial.
John is rich and white. Therefore he is Republican. It doesn't effect his Mile High immortality, but doesn't he feel even a bit concerned about looking like an ass?
The McCain campaign is fledgling. Colorado is blue again. The type of football-crazed rednecks that need Elway to get up to vote weren't going to vote Dem anyway.
Not only is John attaching himself to a sinking ship, he's donned scuba gear and raced to the ocean floor to hop on board the second before it completely plummets.
Thinking he can single-handedly rescue Colorado for McCain is almost as arrogant as pretending he could have won a Super Bowl without Terrell Davis.
I know plenty of "rich" people voting for Obama, just like I know plenty of "poor" people for McCain. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of the perceived division in that area, just like I'm sick and tired of the sexist jokes about Sarah Palin. The Democrats supported Ferraro when she was a candidate, but now Palin can't be cause she's too "pretty"? Whatever.
Got something to say?
