Trista Sutter supports Colo-based cos!
Celebrities are excited about several Colorado based companies and aren’t afraid to show it! I recently learned about several companies in-town that have received love from our celebrity friends in Hollywood and even some celebrities here in Colorado (yes, actual celebrities live here!).
Many of these companies work with Congrats from Colorado, a company that provides gift baskets full of Colorado products to a handful of celebrity moms each quarter.
Here’s a sampling of the celebrity spotlight some local companies have received:
Denver-based Amabajam, owned by Ali Mayer, saw its soft cuddle-up baby blankets photographed with Tori Spelling’s son and daughter in an In Touch magazine photo in January. They were also spotlighted last month on a special Ellen DeGeneres Show that hosted an audience full of pregnant women.

Change is Strange book
Another Denver-based baby company has snagged the attention and approval of Courtney Cox, Natalie Morales and Brooke Shields. The “Change is Strange” book series by Ricki Booker is a collection of personalized books to help kids handle big changes in their lives. Each story is printed with the child’s name and the images are of modern, sophisticated women. Looks like these celebrity mamas dig the personal touch!
The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter is a fan of Colorado-based Baby Candy, which makes personalized tees and onesies for kids and babies. Owner Olivia Omega Logan says Sutter’s son, Max, was seen wearing a Baby Candy shirt that says “Property of Trista and Ryan” in a photo spread in US Weekly’s second largest selling issue ever!

Token Tags, owned by Cherry Creek North designer Elizabeth Lindsay, is another company that has been in the celebrity spotlight. In fact, the tags have been requested and made for the cast of Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. Lindsay has also received praises from Eva Longoria and Trista Sutter, who was spotted wearing Token Tags in the April 2009 issue of US Weekly and Life & Style magazines.
And who could forget Monkey-Toe’s owner, Jenny Ford’s, run in with Oprah Winfrey and Tom Cruise last year? You’ll have to read my full post to learn more about that.
