Actor and Chicago native, Harold Ramis, took to the Chicago Cubs booth on Sunday to sing the 7th inning stretch.
After singing the traditional song, Ramis spent a few minutes talking with Cubs announcers Len Kasper and Bob Brenly. Ramis talked about the recent Second City reunion and the announcers even joked with him about the rugged, hairy look he was sporting. Ramis said that his facial hair was his "Medicare beard."
Not to squander a good opportunity, Brenly asked about the rumored new Ghostbusters film. Ramis said that it would be awhile before we see the new flick. "Probably 2012...it's being written now," he reported. Continuing to joke about what the newest installment would bring, he said, "It'll be the original ghostbusters...in larger costumes and we'll bring in some new guys." He also said that he hoped this would be the start of a new franchise for the Ghostbuster gang.
Ramis has continued acting over the years, but has also focused on producing and directing. The film Year One, with Jack Black and Michael Cera, was his most recent feature directing job.
