February 9, 2010 -- Yesterday, Angelina Jolie spent the day in the Dominican Republic, making the rounds at the Dario Contreras hospital Santo Domingo as part of a Goodwill mission for the United Nations. The actress spent some time in the pediatric ward where many children, who survived the horrendous Haiti earthquake on January 12, 2010, were being treated.
According to hospital spokesman Dario Manon in an official statement, "She [Angelina Jolie] spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help."
A Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, Jolie also met with the Dominican Republic's President Leonel Fernandez during a visit to the national palace in the island nation's capital city.
Today, Angelina Jolie arrived in Haiti as part of her mission to the devastated nation.
Her visit has been confirmed by a UN spokesperson (see photo below)
Again, as Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie toured a Doctors Without Borders hospital in the Delmas neighborhood of Port-au-Prince.
Previous countries Angelina Jolie has visited in her role of UN Goodwill Ambassador include Iraq, Thailand, and Pakistan.

So how exactly has she helped those poor people during her visit besides attending the meetings and talking?
Give me a break please. Such a phony. Let's not forget, that just a few years ago she was filmed hanging out in some drug den. High as a kite. Search Angelina Jolie drugs on you tube. I'm tired of all these phony celebrities.

You people should get down on your knees every day and give thanks that the internet allows for anonymity. You are just too damn stoopid to live. Anyway, it gives the rest of us in the world a good laugh about the state of education in america. Too funny. You guys really know nothing about the rest of the world, do ya? And yet, the rest of the world knows EVerything there needs to know about you. We know the details of what every member of your govt and opposition does. And a person like Angelina Jolie is not only known and loved worldwide, but her work is highly regarded and appreciated. Whenever she visits a country on behalf of the UN, their donations skyrocket. Thats why they call on her so frequently. Already the attention of ordinary people in the world, whose donations the UN depends on, is dwindling. Thats why they asked Angie to come in, especially about the kids. Lots of traffickers are down there seeking to take away haitian kids, even with parental consent in some cases.
