J-Lo has managed to negotiate herself right out of the plum job that was all but hers as her representatives continued to pile on contractual demands that caused the producers of the popular television talent show to just say no.

After Ellen DeGeneres put American Idol through her personal hoops with lighting demands and trailer sizes, in comes the fallen diva Jennifer Lopez with a list that grew every hour that it wasn't signed.

Jennifer Lopez has had a rough couple of years with her label having dropped her and her attempt at being a movie star failing at the box office, however, things had started looking up when she was approached to be a judge on American Idol due to Ellen's departure. All trial balloons that AI floated to judge her acceptance on the panel were a solid go based on her singing background and likable personality.

Everything changed as negotiations were coming down to the wire and announcements of her and Steven Tyler were being reported as imminent. Fox has stated that J-Lo will not be a new judge on American Idol due to "her demands got too out of hand" and they will continue to look for their celebrity judge.

There is no word as to what Steven Tyler's demands are as yet. Nick Cannon, host of "America's Got Talent" has announced that "Mariah Carey (his wife) would love to be a judge on American Idol.
