In the latest episode of "The Bachelorette", Jillian Harris shocked millions of viewers with her decision at the rose ceremony. The two hour show aired on ABC and was filled with twists and turns.

The main focus of this episode was for Jillian to go on home town dates with the five remaining bachelors and meet their families. Her first date was with Reid in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Reid indicated that he needed the approval from all of his family members in order to continue onward with Jillian. His family quickly approves of her and the evening also includes a surprise birthday celebration for Reid.

Jillian’s second date was with Michael, who is the youngest remaining bachelor on the show. They gather in Astoria, New York where she quickly settles in with his family. Michael and his twin brother decided to exchange clothing to see if they could fool Jillian, but she wasn’t buying it and exclaimed, “I know my Michael”. The family received a welcomed surprise when Michael’s sister entered the house. She’d traveled back from Australia to meet Jillian and share in the evening festivities.

Her third date was in San Diego, California with Kiptyn. She is challenged immediately by Kiptyn’s parents to select his father’s homemade lasagna versus an unknown, and she must also select the proper wine to pair with it. Jillian passed the test with flying colors. Kiptyn’s parents also surrounded their hot tub with yellow caution tape as a joke relating to Jillian’s hot tub scene from the last season’s “The Bachelor”.

Carmel, California was the setting for the fourth home town date with Jesse. There still seemed to be something not quite jiving with these two and Jesse’s cynical brother didn’t help matters. It appeared that Jillian might still be pondering whether she and Jesse are truly on the same timeline for marriage and children.

The final date of the evening came with quite a twist. She met Wes in Austin, Texas and he took her to meet his band and perform a few songs. He still seemed to be promoting his band and their new CD on the voiceover, yet he was telling Jillian he was sincere and there for the right reasons. When Jillian is getting ready at her hotel room, a knock at the door brings in Jake, who was sent home on last week’s episode. He confessed to her that Wes had confided in him that he had a girlfriend named Laurel. After tears and anger, Jillian confronts Wes and he denies the allegation. Jake is brought back into the room and Wes still continued to deny having a girlfriend. Jillian decides to move forward with the date and meet Wes’s family. Following the date she said that his family had put her mind at ease.

Shortly before the rose ceremony, another emotional twist came for Jillian. Ed, a bachelor that had left the show earlier in the season, returned to ask her for another chance. He claimed he’d made a huge mistake and Jillian invited him to attend the rose ceremony.

The ceremony had millions of fans sitting on the edge of their couches yelling at Jillian to “Dump Wes”!  At the conclusion of the show, Jillian said goodbye to Michael and Jesse. The next episode will take Jillian and her remaining bachelors to Spain.

Do you think that she should have gotten rid of Wes this week? Who do you think should be the next "Bachelor"? Please share your thoughts and comments.
