So like everyone else, I was glued to the TV set last Tuesday night watching the train wreck that is the Real Housewives of New Jersey. If you thought the other franchises of the show were bad, i.e. New York, Orange County, or Atlanta, this version was just the icing on the cake.
This season followed sisters Dina and Caroline, their sister-in-law Jacqueline, friend Theresa, and outcast Danielle. The only one who could tolerate Danielle was the sweet natured Jacqueline, and this was with good cause. Danielle was featured in a book and was allegedly a prostitute, a drug smuggler, a cocaine user, and a child kidnapper, who was arrested for all of the above.
Danielle has “set the record straight” and denied all the claims except the fact that she was arrested, but she has never said why she was arrested besides her “I was at the wrong place at the wrong time”. She also is the ultimate cougar stating she wants a younger man or any man-but they have to have money and lots of it.
Theresa is the quintessential Italian firecracker who shoots off when angry. She was so calm and funny about her new “bubbies” and her new huge house, but when her dinner was ruined by Danielle, she was table-throwing mad. Also very hysterical were her attempts at making her daughter Gia a model actress. That little girl is so cute and she knows it!
Dina and Caroline are the sisters who don’t take any crap from anyone. They had each other backs and were as thick as thieves. Both love their kids and would do anything for them (I personally love Caroline’s oldest son, Albie, who is sexy, smart, and a future lawyer).
Jacqueline is the peacemaker of the bunch. She liked everyone, except her daughter’s poor grades and attitude. But don’t call her a pushover; she will go off on a girl. Her infertility battle may finally be over as she just gave birth to a little baby boy, which may be the happy ending to a rough season.
