Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo welcomes a baby girl

The new season of Grey’s Anatomy kicks off tomorrow, which is Thursday, September 24, 2009. Interestingly enough, Ellen Pompeo’s new baby has arrived just in time!

Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery were married during 2007. Just like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Fredde Prinze Jr., they announced that they were expecting a baby in April.

According to People News, Ellen Pompeo gave birth to a girl named Stella Luna Pompeo. It does not seem like this celebrity baby name will receive a lot of criticism for being too weird, such as names like Sparrow James Midnight Madden. In comparison, it is quite normal.

Stella Lunar was born on September 15, 2009 - just four days before Sarah Michelle and Fredde Prinze Jr. welcomed a new baby girl into their lives.  

Ellen Pompeo is thirty-nine years old. Stella Lunar Pompeo is the couple’s first child with one another.

Could it be that the stars of Grey’s Anatomy are having baby wars? Recently, Ellen Pompeo’s Grey’s Anatomy co-star Katherine Heigl adopted a baby girl from Korea named Naleigh. Chyler Leigh, of Grey’s Anatomy, also recently had a daughter named Anniston Kae.

Let’s wish Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery the best of luck with Stella Lunar! In fact, let’s wish all of the Grey’s Anatomy stars luck with their new babies! It seems that all of these women are going to be incredibly busy this season! With so many babies in tow, it should be interesting to see if Grey’s Anatomy writes them into the script somehow.
