Is Ashley Greeen a "good" role model? Photo/Associated Press
Twilight New Moon star Ashley Greene has expressed that while it's flattering to be considered a positive role model, she's terrified by the fact at the same time.
"That’s the downside to being in the public eye," Greene said in her recent chat with Interview magazine. "When girls come up and say, ‘You’re my role model,’ it’s really flattering, but it’s also really scary because I’m not perfect and I’m going to make mistakes."
Like the linked photoshoot to the story, full of underlying bondage themes and exposed nipples for the magazine? Or the nothing-but-body-paint ads for SoBe (shown below)?
Are these pics among raunchy quotes and Sports Illustrated spreads enough to destroy the positive role model status of the Twilight star?
"There was a moment in time where I was kind of having this mini-breakdown because it was all very new," Greene says of her stardom surplus in 2008 (thanks to Twilight).
Adding, "It was all being thrown at me really quickly, and I was going, ‘Why are people reporting on this? Why do people care what I’m wearing or what I’m eating, and why are people looking down on me because I’m not wearing high heels?"

The 22-year-old is definitely kicking up her heels now, making her Sports Illustrated debut in the upcoming Swimsuit Edition as the face of SoBe's low-cal water beverage baring her bum and leaving only a bit to the imagination in revealing ads.
"Maybe she does not really want to be a role model," says People Magazine Daily. "And if so, her hoochieness is falling right into place."
While Greene says she hopes people respect her for who she is and not who she pretends to be, she fesses up to ultimately laying down the line - Even when rebelling against her parents to make the move to L.A. at the tender age of 17.
"Obviously, they had a lot of long talks and sleepless nights," Greene told Interview on her early-career move. "I was always a good kid, so they went out on a limb. But they did say, “If you go out to L.A. and start becoming this wild child, then you have to come back home and go to college."
Interview failed to ask if they'd seen her recent photos. To read more about Ashley Green's workout routine, click here!
