July 26, 2010 -- Lady Gaga, in one of the most unique moves since her last fashion at the AMfar gala has once again shocked the world. It was announced today and a story on CBS shared that the popular singer has signed a convert of nuns to her label to be used for an upcoming album.
The convent is called the Abbaye de Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation monastery near Avignon, France and the women at this facility sing 8 times a day. The music, Gregorian chant, is considered one of the most original and earliest known forms in the world.
The convent won a competition and beat out 70 other groups to win the opportunity. Once you hear them you will understand exactly why. The chants are considered more like prayers than music and it has a lovely tone.
