Beatles mania has hit Hollywood big time! Luring one of the four original Mop Top band members to Hollywood Boulevard, Ringo Starr showed up to claim his place on the street with his very own star. Planned for months, the Beatles drummer never looked better in the spotlight.
Ringo Starr accepted his award among family, friends, and fans. At one point prior to the official beginning of the star ceremony, fans started singing Beatles songs, paying homage to the famous band. The timing of the Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was just perfect since Starr recently released his highly praised album called ‘Y Not’.
The star took his place in front of the Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine Street in Hollywood, the perfect place for honoring one of the four music legends known as The Beatles.
This is the second star for Ringo Starr since the first one was placed in 1988 for the band as a whole. That star is located at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard, the other thoroughfare with Vine (scene of Starr's new star) collectively known as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of Los Angeles' most popular tourist attractions.
