July 19, 2010 -- Demi Lovato, Kellan Lutz, Alyssa Milano, George Lopez are only a few of the many stars expected to arrive at the '2010 VH1 Do Something Awards' is being held in Los Angeles California. The award ceremony will be held only hours from now.
Hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch, the ceremony will celebrate a new generation of do-ers and world changers by honoring five young people for their commitment to social change. The telecast will broadcast LIVE from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
Over the past weeks fans have been asked to vote for their favorite celebrities and charities that have great influence. The voting ended last night at midnight with the awards being given tonight. DoSomething.org also recently announced the Do Something on Twitter category, honoring famous tweeters such as Ashton Kutcher, Hugh Jackman, Edward Norton, Alyssa Milano and the satirical Twitter account BPGlobalPR, for utilizing Twitter to promote social good. Other categories honor influential celebrities, musicians, comedians, and athletes, inspiring films and television shows, and social media initiative.
Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse and Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars will be performing tonight as well as other fun surprises are promised to hit the stage. Check it all out on VH1 9pm Eastern.
