Concerns arise among executives of the 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' movie

Some issues of concern have been brewing at the Summit studios these last few days because of the mega blockbuster soon to be released movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Apparently there have been some reshoots, or 'pickup shots' ordered that have made Twi-hards very nervous. While these reshoots are normal on the movie-making world, some say that the movie may not be good enough to be released on June 30th.

So, due to the fans getting very antsy, the studio execs at Summit are starting to freak out too. On top of it, some sources that have seen clips for Eclipse claim that it it just not quite there.

When the director for the third Twilight installment, David Slade, was announced, many fans were afraid that the movie would have too much action and be way too dark.

So now with all these reshoot issues and frantic behavior going on at the studios, many are starting to get very worried.

Even when E! Online asked one of their moles at the studio about the latest rumors on Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson being an item, the source said that no one knows or cares right now.

They are trying so hard to contain the allegations that something is wrong with the film, that not even Robsten rumors will get in their way of calming things down.

But, E! Online confirms that Rob and Kristen are indeed together and that it seems the studio execs are just over that one for now.

Well, that's good news to some of those Twi-hards out there that were rooting for the two young 'fated' actors to 'just admit they are together already'!

So, with the good news of Robsten, let's hope that the movie can also have its own great news and be good to go when the release day arrives on June 30!

What do you think, will the movie be total crap, or is it going to be the best one yet? Let us know by leaving a comment below!

Well all we have to go on is the sad trailor. It sucks. It's boring and has absolutely no umph to it. I'm as big a fan as they come and this is not looking good. I'd rather them delay and get it right. I'd like to own a movie I can watch for years to come.

They should totally delay the movie. cuz looking at the trailer it looks sad and depressing, and i didn't really just excited. I loved the book eclipse and i'm hoping to love this movie too. but they set up the date to early. i dont care that they started in...well i dont now but they shound delay it. cuz its looking not to great and they should clean up a few things and add more color cuz it looks dull.

Well, i think that they should go on with the june 30th release date. the trailer isn't neccesarely the best, but not a lot of people liked one of the first trailers of the first "TWILIGHT" film. they kept saying that it was too much like a thriller movie, or an action movie, and that it was going to suck. then, people saw it, and they liked it. the trailer may not be the best, but the film, i bet, will be the best in the saga.

I think they need to stick the release date because the fans have been waiting & looking forward to it! I know I have been. I am sure the movie will be great, but if it needs a little more work...well then they should get to it! Crunch time :)

Well...if it's not ready push it back....but concerning the "darkness," Eclipse is a darker novel in the saga, and David Slade's other movie 30 Days of Night was "darker" and still a great movie. The poster is darker too...so i think it's supposed to be dark...sorry that seems to be part of the package.

My opinion I like the trailer...you only can show so much...ending of New Moon left me breathless too, as well as Bella...what to expect from Eclipse the continuing love that Edward and Bella shares, and her love/friendship with Jacob. How both Edward and Jacob fights to keep Bella safe/protect from Victoria (dark / action) and let's not forget the Volturi. I really wish the release date for Eclipse in on schedule but if the necessities need to be done, then do it. Have faith.

It's a normal shooting process. And No, the movie "isn't quite there yet" could simply mean that it's in the process of being edited. Remember the first editor was let go, so... The preview clip showing the making of the movie look fantastic. I'm not going to count the movie out until someone sees semi-complete cut. Remember they also have to add the CGI and it looked like there was a lot of it for this movie.

Do whatever it takes to get the movie just as great as the book! Reshoot, take more time, or just start over! I am huge fan of books and movies, definitly want this one worth the wait and want to watch it over and over.

I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's a bit hard to judge anyway given what they show, they don't show enough to give a fair judgement. I like it but if the people working on it think it needs work, then they should do what ever they need too to make it worth while of the wait.

I dont think the 2nd part was as good as the 1st but I will continue to be a loyal fan and we'll just have to wait and see what Twilight has in store for us. So far part 1 is the BEST....I am so rooting for Edward and Bella. I also agree w/ Ali delay the movie and give a movie that we wanna watch everytime it comes on like I watch Twilight everytime it comes on...I dont think I will keep watching the 2nd one over and over and over and over again. DONT RUSH THE MOVIE!!!

Why are we all freaking out? Summit has said that these extra shots are normal and almost every movie does it.I personally think it needs to be dark and obviously David Slade was perfect to fill that role! I think if you read the books its gonna be great but all those loosers who didn't will hate it just like new moon!

the trailor was nothing but straight cuts from the movie. it had no pizazz to it and it lacked the feel of a major movie. there was nothing beautiful about it. It looked like raw cuts of a film. Anyone could do that. Where are the effects? They rushed to get the trailor out and it was not polished. Why release something that's unfinished? People don't want mediocrity. I didn't read a series of four books multiple times to get mediocrity on screen. I just hope they'll get a female for the fourth movie that deals with the wedding. Sorry but the guys don't get the love part. And we need a major director for the fifth film. Someone like the Lord of the Rings director. Someone who can make a major film still be beautiful.

While reshoots may be normal, replacing Slade's editor (with Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight editor) after Eclipse was finished is not. In addition, Rob P could only be there for 3 days of reshoots when 7 were needed. If the reshoot was planned, wouldn't they have nailed down RP for 7 days? Finally, is reshooting so close to the planned release normal? Especially with only one trailor shown so far?
New Moon was such a disaster that there wasn't the huge number of fans seeing the movie multiple times in theater, as there was with the Twilight movie. Summit must have had concerns for the DVD sales because they went to the expense of flying members of the core cast to DVD sales sites to draw fans.
After watching NM in the theater, many core Twilight fans walked away in disgust, and aren't going bother to see Eclipse (including me).
With Summit's choice of Slade, obviously it is now going for the sociopathic 17 yo male viewer, so they shouldn't be surprised if that's all they get.

It seems like Summit was trying to rush this movie to get it out quicker for the fans, but in the process they dropped the ball and are scrambling to pick it back up. Hopefully all of these rummors about the movie not "being there" yet are just that, rummors and are only provided to gain more press and curiosity out of their core audience. David Slade did help with the reshoots-unlike what the rummors originally said- and hopefully it was to help add some femininity into his usuall action and dark flled views. We can only cross our fingers and hope they didn't screw this one up, as it was the favorite of many of the fans.

New Moon was so unlike the book that I left the theater thinking Stephenie Meyer should be outraged that they used her characters to write a new book. When Bella climbed on the motorcycle with the complete stranger, my daughter and I stared at each other open mouthed. It was all downhill from there. I saw Twilight in the theater 3 times, once for New Moon. I think Catherine Hardwicke would have tried harder to keep New Moon closer to the book. Chris Whatever tried to make it a guys film, I am really afraid of what Slade is going to do. I agree with ajwilliams, the Victoria in the original was dead on ... why fix it if it ain't broke! There, I've finally gotten to give my opinion of the movie.

I agree with everything ALL and Morgaine said. To add my 2 cents — I loved TWILIGHT: love the actors, the brilliant Carter Burwell score, the rain-soaked Forks, songs, fight scene with Cam Gigandet, baseball game, tree flying, amazing kiss — everything about TWILIGHT, as directed by Catherine Hardwicke. I couldn't stand NMoon. I saw it at a Midnight show and within 5 minutes turned to my friend and said "This is garbage" and she agreed and everyone I know agrees. NMoon is one of the worst movies I've EVER seen. Am skipping Eclipse (the trailer looks worse than NMoon which I didn't think was possible) and will skip Breaking Dawn unless Catherine Hardwicke directs it. If ever a film demanded a woman director, it's Breaking Dawn. Why can't Summit see that the best film in this saga is TWILIGHT? The fans see it.

P.S. Re Eclipse reshoots — the fans knew this film was in trouble when Rachelle LeFevre was fired. She IS Victoria and BDHoward looks ridiculous in that red wig. Also, Slade slammed Catherine Hardwicke's TWILIGHT on Twitter before he was hired to do Eclipse which shows zero class. And now they're reshooting some scenes "which they planned all along." Am DEFINITELY passing on seeing Eclipse and I'm a fan of the books and Catherine's TWILIGHT.

If you havent read the books then the movies are great. stop complainging about it not going to be good. you go produce it if you think its so easy. i see following the book better but guess what the fans are on demand and the producers are trying to please them. i think the trailer looks awesome!! i mean i cant wait to see it. and no matter what is showed and what not people WILL still go to see it. they want to judge it. stop being so obsessed and just be happy that they actually are making movie. not every thing can be perfect.

It is going to be impossible to beat Twilight! It had a young, funky vibe to it because of Katherine Hardwich! I disliked the music at first cause it wasn't my thing, then went out and bought the cd later. New Moon was so totally different but I realized it was that they had matured an some of the innocence was gone from the first movie. I will watch the third movie and will enjoy it on some level no matter what just because of my obsession with the series!

It's funny to me to see so many fans that loved the Twilight movie more than New Moon. Twilight was horrible! In case you didn't notice, the make-up was terrible, the scenes that were changed didn't flow with the movie and Kristen Stewart's acting was so bad they should have re-casted HER role. She has no acting ability at all!! At least New Moon gave the real movie (and book) fans action, eye candy (Jacob) and something to look forward to in Eclipse.

Books are ALWAYS best, however with the trailers for Eclipse, one can already see how much has been changed and rewritten from the novel. I wonder, will she chose Jacob in the movie.....

Ok guys, It's just a movie.. don't get me wrong LOVE the Twilight series, both books and movies, and does it really matter if it is a man or a woman directing. The books are always better but they have endless pages in books..
