Bill Gates gives up Facebook, announces 'It was too much trouble'
Almost everyone is on Facebook these days. When you are making a list of friends that you must add of Facebook, scratch Bill Gates off your list. Sorry, Bill Gates does not want to be your friend. Mr. Technology himself announced this weekend that he has given up Facebook.
Gates said he gave up Facebook because "10,000 people wanting to be my friends" was too much work, the AFP reported.
Gates had trouble with all the friend requests. He had trouble trying to figure out if he "knew this person, did I not know this person".
He said, "It was just way too much trouble so I gave it up,"
Bill Gates announced the news this weekend in India. He was being honored for all his charity work and received the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development, awarded by the government of India.
Gates could have went the route of many other celebrities and corporations have and just have someone run his Facebook page for him. We have to give him credit for taking the more personal route.
Some Apple enthusiasts may joking say they know the real reason that Bill Gates gave up Facebook. It's because his PC kept crashing.
Does this mean Bill Gates won't follow all of us on Twitter? Yes, we are fairly certain that if Facebook was too much for Gates, Twitter will never happen.
That's okay Mr. Gates, Steve Jobs does not Twitter either.
