Whitney Houston's "comeback" has been a huge disaster. Not only did her contrivedI Look to You album not live up to sales expectations, but the album failed to garner any Grammy nominations. Memphis radio programmer Aaron Stephens tells us that the music industry could see past the hype. "Whitney's whole comeback was based on the fact that people love comebacks. There was no substance or talent put into her effort."
Actually, Mr. Stephens may be right about the "talent" part. Fans (now former fans) who saw Whitney perform in Australia pretty much came to the same conclusion: Whitney sounds better on crack. Those of you who are close to death and need to receive the final nail in the coffin will watch the clip of Whitney "singing" on Tour at the end of this article. The rest of you may want to stay away.
Several insiders are now whispering that Whitney Houston is furious with Clive Davis for forcing her back into the spotlight when she clearly wasn't ready. "Whitney's comeback was a financial investment from Clive Davis," one source says. "It was all about him, not her. Now that Whitney has failed, she is experiencing the backlash, not Clive."
All this is so depressing. Perhaps Whitney Houston should cancel the rest of her tour. Then, she can drown her sorrows out with fellow has-been diva Mariah Carey. Perhaps these two can tour together. It would certainly help Mariah Carey, who has a difficult time filling up arenas the size of coffee shops these days.

Whitney is old just like your precious Madonna which is why she's not selling the way she once did. Last time I checked Madonna wasn't exactly selling a boatload of albums or scoring #1 singles yet you love her. I don't understand why you pick on Whitney. Bullshit! Whitney's album sold 1mil in the US and 2mil WW- it may not have garnered her any Grammys but that's no biggie. I've seen clips of Whitney on tour in Aus and South Korea, she was good. Your clip was an off night- why DON'T U BE FAIR AND POST THE GOOD ONES AS WELL INSTEAD OF SENSATIONALIZING:

BTW, many artist today would kill to have a 2mil selling album. When was that considered not a sucess.
You are full of it....List some other artist that have sold more than Whitney's I Look To You album over the last year....There arent many. And that picture has been photo shop to make her look bad.
God is still with Whitney and she's gonna keep on keeping on. I love the new album and her voice fits her at 45 and getting better. Not even 95% of the artist out the today can out sing Whitney even after all she has been through. Lastly show a little respect to the greatest singer of all time......NO Body in history comes close to Whitney in her prime....NOBODY!!! And nobody is more versatile either. She can give you jazz, pop, Ballads....even sing other people songs and sang them well. Whitney we love you baby girl....like you said,'there's been haters since this worlds been going round'...this is one of them, but guess what she loves you too.!
