You can't alway trust everything Perez Hilton writes, so we checked with Madison Square Garden ourselves and found out that Mariah's New Year's Eve show is far from a sellout. Mariah's "lambs" are blaming it on the economy. However, it all comes down to this: Mariah Carey has absolutely no talent.
People will pay money for concert tickets. As much as we dislike U2, their incredible concert ticket sales can't be denied. Paying money to see an over-the-hill singer who talks with a fake ghetto accent and deep discounts her singles so they can be hits is out of the question for most in this economy.
We have a suggestion for Mariah: Play Starbucks. It can seat about 20 people. This is a good sized audience for you! If tickets don't sell, you can always brag about your current hit single. Oh wait, what current hit single? "I Wanna Know What Love Is" is a certified mega-bomb single from a mega-bomb album that has already fallen to number 58 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart. Perhaps it is time for Mariah to retire before having another breakdown.

P.S. "No Line On The Horizon" is one of only 10 albums released in 2009 that has sold over a million copies and that was with next to NO RADIO AIRPLAY and with the album released in March(a slow sales period),having been leaked and downloaded illegaly 1/2 a million times during a bad economy.

I was searching news of Mariah and finding this article really worried me but knowing it is a Randy article greatly relieves me. He never writes anything good about Mariah. I have been a fan since day 1 & like most of her fans would go see her in a heartbeat, but don't have the finances to fly to NY, pay for a hotel room then on top of it pay for her concert. If she was playing in Chicago I would go & the same could be said for most of her fans. Unlike Madonna's fans who seem 2 never have a prob. paying a ridiculous 1,000 + a ticket, us lambs are mostly working class struggling people. Oh & BTW how does it feel when the only reason people actually read your so called journalistic work is when they Google Mariah's name? When you have a single that enters the top 1,000 let alone the hot 100 let us know so we could actually think you have an ounce of musical cred.
