A photograph of U.S. President Barack Obama has flooded media outlets questioning whether the president was checking out "foreign assets".
In the photograph in question, President Obama appears to be looking at a 17-year-old girl's backside as members of the G8 summit in L'Aquila, Italy prepared to take their places for a photo on July 9. (France's President Nicolas Sarkozy also seems to be enjoying the view.)
However, the video of the event tells a different story. The video captures the moments before, and after, the photo and actually shows Obama waiting for the woman behind him (in the black blouse) to step down. The president extends his hand in order to help her down so his gaze appears to be looking in that direction to merely help him assist her.(Unfortunately, there's no excuse for President Sarkozy. Even after everyone has taken their places, Sarkozy is still focused on the young lady in red!)
