Lady GaGa: Friends fear star is headed for a breakdown

Close friends of Lady GaGa fear the overnight sensation is heading toward a breakdown, thanks to her recent break up and rising fame.

The "Poker Face" star split from boyfriend Speedy after pictures of the singer kissing a random guy/possible fan were plastered in Britain's Sun newspaper.

Of the break up, GaGa later told the Sun, "Do you know the feeling of your heart being so terribly broken you can feel the blood dripping out? ... When you have felt this, only then you know how I'm doing."

Speedy and GaGa (born Stefani Germanotta) met on the set of her "Love Game" music video.

Since the breakup, friends are worried about how the singer is coping with the split and her demanding schedule.

One insider told Britain's Look magazine: "Everything seems to have gone wrong at once for her. She split up with Speedy last month and since then I think the toll of relentless touring and promotion over the past year has hit her.

"We're worried she is going to have a breakdown if she keeps going on like this. She's clearly heartbroken and exhausted and she should slow down and look after herself. But even though she says she's ruined her life, it's as if she's addicted to the fame."
