With the BET Hip Hop awards nominees recently announced, outspoken-emcee Kanye West leads the pack with nine nods -including Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year and People's Champ.
The nominations come just days after West grabbed the microphone from country music-sweetheart Taylor Swift during her MTV Video Music Award acceptance speech. (See: MTV VMAs: Kanye West is an idiot).
In an attempt to move past the incident, West has apologized numerous times to Swift, personally and publicly, but with the heavy media scrutiny there's no guarantee he will even show up to the upcoming awards ceremony on Oct. 10 in Atlanta, GA.
According to EW.com, a BET spokeswoman says it's still too early to know whether West will RSVP.
"Most guests start confirming next week or the first week in October, so we wouldn't really know yet," she said. "But we would love to have him there!"
Although President Obama called Kanye a jackass for his antics (off the record, of course), one man is defending his behavior.
Jay-Z recently explained in a BBC Radio 1 interview: "Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that's the way he really felt…I think it was rude, but the way they're treating him … He's on the cover of every paper. He didn't kill anybody. No one got harmed."
Jay added, Kanye is "a super-passionate person."

I think Kanye is an arrogant @$$hole and deserves all of the comments people have expressed about his immature behavior. So what he appologized I doubt it was sincere.
