Jay-Z shows the respectful way to tell Taylor Swift she sucks compared to Beyonce

Photo: BBC

Jay-Z, who is married to Beyonce's presumably more fun alter-ago, Sasha Fierce, has told reporters that he, like the irate, shamed Kanye West, strongly feels the Beyonce video for Single Ladies was superior to the victorious Taylor Swift video. Okay, let's pause because NME also voted Single Ladies the song of the decade and I DON'T GET IT. The best thing about that video was the series of imitators and parodies that arose from it, and even those were all pwned by that kid and his mom's tribute to Britney's Circus. And the song is...catchy but not that amazing either. Anyway, that's just an opinion.

Whatever Jay-Z and Beyonce are doing, they're doing it right, because they were named the top entertainment earning couple of 2009, having earned $122 million combined from June 2008 to June 2009. Whoa.  High five! Everyone else paled in comparison, with Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart looking like paupers with their paltry combined $69 million. How will they eat this year?!

BTW, 'Empire State of Mind' is a great song but nothing ruins it more than hearing hipster white kids dressed like Orville Redenbacher who hail from wealthy Connecticut suburbs singing along with gusto in the name of irony.

I'm getting so tired of the Jay-Z and Beyonce publicity circus and overexposure. They both need to retire and give the public a break from their excesses and egos. Every year, Forbes claims Beyonce has earned $86 million. And every year, Jay-Z earns about a $150 million from Live Nation. What corporation would be stupid enough to give a rapper a $150 million deal? And why do corporations through endorsement deals keep making the rich richer ... distribute the wealth to people who really need it ... you have up-and-coming models who can use the money. Beyonce clearly doesn't need any more money. She can buy several countries with the $5 million wedding ring that Jay-Z gave her. You know you're "filty rich" if you can buy a lady a $5 million ring.
