On American Idol tonight the judges pretty much said that 26 year old Michael Lynche stole the show with his performance of This Woman's Work by Maxwell (written by Kate Bush) from the Movie She's Having A Baby. Some were wondering what made Kara Dioguardi cry.
The meaning behind the song was about a woman having a baby. It is from a father's perspective of waiting in the waiting room for his child to be born and worrying about his wife and being helpless during the birth. He thinks about how so many things can go wrong with childbirth. It hit home for viewers because it was so close to what new father Michael Lynche must have been going through when his wife was having his baby back home in St Petersburg, Florida and he was in Hollywood trying to make it on American Idol. It was a lovely tribute to Michael's wife. It's probably a safe bet that Michael Lynche will not be one of the 2 American Idols going home tomorrow.
Tomorrow night meet your top 12 American Idols as another 2 boys and 2 girls go home on the results show this Thursday, March 11th at 8PM on FOX channel WAWS 30 in Jacksonville.
