Kate Gosselin, who has been using her kids as publicity money spawns, has now requested that Jon Gosselin give her child support. Is the "child" Kate talking about herself?
Jon Gosselin has not handled himself perfectly: This is something he has admitted several times. But Kate's continued exploitation of her children is worse than anything Jon has done.
It's quite sad that most of the media have taken Kate's side without having all the information. Whenever there is a family breakup, it's usually the man who is blamed. In this case, Kate Gosselin is the real criminal and Jon is definitely the victim.

Has anyone checked out the video of jon picking up the twins at the bus stop. When getting in the car, watch how long it takes jon to close the door on the car. Not until after the paps get their pictures. Then one says to jon "Thanks Jon". Bet he got paid for those pictures. What a sleeze.
If you were paying attention, you would know Kate was originally the "villain" in this story due to her perceived shrewish ways. The tide changed when Jon started showing his true colors for all the world to see. Kate has admitted to making mistakes, too - just so you know.
You must have your head in a hole. It's not a smear campaign. Jon cleaned out the bank account and he also wants a part of Kate's monies she made from her book. They are still legally married, so why shouldn't Kate have a shot at some of the monies Jon is making selling his family out to Entertainment Tonight, besides other tabloids.
It is obvious that you took it upon yourself to be the ONLY person in the world who has chosen to believe Jon Gosselin.

Guess you didn't read the part where this #1 Dad sold out his daughter by saying she basically snitches on her mother. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say if she does then he's a piece of dirt for encouraging it. What kind of Dad puts his kid on the spot with a mother he claims is now abusive when a couple weeks ago she was the best mom in the world. Way to through MADY under the bus Jon. Guy's an arse.

Sue, thank you for being brave enough to write this! People tend to believe whatever the media tells them to. In this case, the media has been way off. They have not researched this family to know the back story. Jon was a victim of spousal abuse and yet that little tidbit has been overlooked since he's a man. It's sick. Yes, Jon has screwed up but prior to KATE ending the marriage, Jon had been a devoted husband. He took way too much abuse for too long.
The Kate supporters need to do their research and not look at Jon's mistakes the last couple of months.

Good Grief, you are obviously not doing much in the way of "examining" the facts! I guess you missed the fact that Jon sold his kids birthday party to Entertainment Tonight. I guess you dont think that was exploiting the kids? He hs decimated his family, destroyed the show that provided the income that supported his children and done his best to destroy Kate also. And now it is a "smear" for a mother to ask the father who is responsible for all of this to support his children? Kate has done her best to remain quiet about the specifics of this divorce and to refrain from talking about Jon while Jon has been on a media rampage for 10 months! The man will talk to anyone with a camera in their hand and he doesnt care what the repercussions are for anyone, especially not for his children. You lessen the credibility of Examiner columnists everywhere!

Has anyone else seen THE INFORMER, Mat Damon appears to have used Jon as his model. He even walked like Jon when he went to talk with the press. As for the author of Smear Campaign, she reminds me of the other Kate. Perhaps her mind is rattled by her infatuation, or she may be his latest love interest.

I agree 100% with Kelly. The author clearly does not know what she is talking about and gives no facts behind these opinions, leading me to believe she does not know the subject matter or done the research. Poorly done. Kate has always been consistent with her stance while Jon has proved to be the most misguided, hypocritical, immature fool ever. He is the one exploiting the kids by using them to shut down the show out of vengence, not concern. Nothing has changed and I believe they are still enjoying participating in the show.

I only watched two episodes of this show. One of the episodes was about a birthday party. It showed Kate making a cake from scratch, she said that the family had a tradition of homemade birthday cakes. So what does Jon do for his twin's 9th birthday, he gets a birthday cake from a bakery (and has it filmed). He looked at the cake, made some positive comments and took it. The cake had one of the kids names spelled incorrectly. Does he know that the family had a tradition of homemade birthday cakes? Does he know how to spell his own daughter’s name. Jon is a total tool and you don’t have to be ‘on Kate’s side’ to see this.
