Armani has announced that when David Beckham departs from modeling their underwear and jeans in January 2010 Cristiano Ronaldo will take his place in the uber sexified ads.

David Beckham plans to launch his own underwear line after being inspired by his four years of modeling for the fashion house that brought sexy back.

Ronaldo is known as the highest paid soccer player in the world due to a trade by the Real Madrid that is estimated at $132 million dollars.  He also is a team captain for Portugal's National Team.

Ronaldo is  no stranger to fine fashion; he and his sister opened two fashion boutiques in Portugal called "CR7" for the players initials and number.

The new Armani ads featuring Ronaldo are expected to debut in Spring 2010.
