Rihanna the role model.
Rihanna calls the violent beating she took from ex boyfriend, Chris Brown a "wake up call." Saying she never knew what kind of an influence she had on young girls, and that if they saw her going back to an abusive boyfriend, that maybe other young women would feel compelled to do the same. Rihanna says she couldn't "rest easy" with that.
"That's embarrassing that that's they type of person I fell in love with" the singer told Diane Sawyer. "So far in love; so unconditional that I went back ... its humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? Its a traumatic mistake." "I'm a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal," she said. "All of these expectations, I'm not perfect."
The singer became emotional while telling her story. Saying that this could happen to anyone. "I am strong. This happened to me," she said. "It could happen to anyone." See the video below.
