Kate Gosselin was blackmailed by her ex husband, Jon Gosselin, for money according to Jon's ex girlfriend Hailey Glassman.
Glassman claims that Jon Gosselin threatened to report Kate to Child Protective Services if she refused to give him a large sum of money. According to Hailey, Jon and Kate's daughter Maddy had hurt her arm, and Jon saw an opportunity.
Glassman revealed that Jon Gosselin told Kate if she didn't give him money, he would call Child Protective Services claiming Kate hurt Maddy's arm by yanking it.
"We were in bed and Jon called Kate on speaker phone," said Glassman. "He wrote down what he wanted to say to her and then he read from his notes. "He told her, 'You either give me money, or I'm going to call CPS.'"
"Kate started screaming and Jon just started laughing," Hailey continued. "He just laughed at her. Later when he got off the phone I asked him, 'What are you doing? Why are you doing this? This is the mother of your eight children!' And he told me, 'Oh, you don't know what I went through with her, what I had to deal with.'"
RadarOnline.com reports that this was the ugliest of all the Gosselin scandals during their divorce. However, some may question if Hailey Glassman, who has also had run ins with Jon Gosselin, is telling the truth.
According to the gossip site Glassman has provided proof in the form of handwritten notes which contain key points that Jon wanted to make to Kate while blackmailing her.
Glassman claims that Jon always referred to himself in the 3rd person and that his notes reflect that reading "Jon giving Kate ultimatums. He privately extorts Kate. If you don't do what I want, I'll do this..."
"He always referred to himself in the third person," Glassman told RadarOnline. "I found it so strange. It was almost like he thought he was still on camera."
