LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg's death has been ruled a suicide after being found dead in her home over four months ago. The investigation finally came to a close after the 25-year-old otherwise healthy golfer's death was first said to have been a mystery.

After her doctor Dr. Thomas Hess was pulled into the investigation with allegations of prescription drug toxicity, the Clark County coroner's office has finally cleared his name - In the cause of death. The doctor is still being charged with obstruction of justice in the case of the LPGA golfer's death.

“While asphyxia was the primary cause of death," the coroner said. "The presence of prescription drugs in Ms. Blasberg's system was a significant factor."

A myriad of drugs in Erica's system were claimed by the coroner's office to be a lethal combination. While Nevada law prevents disclosure of drug amounts, the media has obtained record of drugs involved in the suicide to be butalbital, temazepam, alprazolam, codeine, hydrocodone and tramadol.

Despite the close of the investigation determining Erica's death as suicide, her parents still believe the "inapporopriate relationship" between Erica and Dr. Hess was something that resulted in more than just the young golfer taking her life.

According to reports, the doctor admitted to disturbing the crime scene, taking pieces of evidence and hiding an apparent suicide note and prescription meds in his car.

I 've heard the 911 tape now. The guy sure sounds nervous for a doctor. And some of his answers were defensive. I still think there's more involvement by this Dr. than we will, apparently and unfortunately, never know. Being so moved by her story, I've watched some of her golf videos. What a beautiful , talented girl, and what a sad, sad story. My heart goes out to her parents.
